The Mole ep.4

Merry Xmas Peeps!

So guys, I have been keeping you up to date with the shenanigans that have been happening over here.
It’s been a minute, and a lot has happened already. For one, Stan never got the promotion that he so much wanted. Neither did Sandie—I advised her not to go for it. I am glad she heeded my counsel.

Number two, Lisa now leads another team in the call center—she got that transfer. I dunno how that transpired. At least now you know that I am not the omnipotent marionettist. Yeah… a lot has happened.

At the moment, we are sorting out Christmas issues—who is to be left manning the queues on the 25th, who is whose Secret Santa, how much should the gifts cost, and many other stories. Looking at the previous stories I have shared about my office, you can imagine it’s a whole mélange of emotions and many other things. I refuse to focus on the sad stories this time.

Jesus the Nazarene will be born afresh in our memories and hearts, perhaps (as our preacher charges us to—to allow him to be born in our hearts). And so I want him to find a clean place—a clean heart devoid of malice and scheming, a mind full of pure thoughts and good memories.

So we are planning a dinner out—we want to end this year in style. We also hope to bury the whole year’s beef. Yes, we want to bury the hatchet and start on a clean slate. Yeah, the year has been messy—Stan is yet to get over his overwhelming defeat. He blames me for it. I will pray for his heart as we cross over; it should cease to hurt.

I will also pray for deeper connections this coming year. I sense that I will need a lot of muscle to move things. Do I want a promotion? Nah. I don’t think so. I want to remain in the shadows.

Well, I will ponder about that when the time is due. For now, lemme trouble myself with finding a matching attire and strategize how I will mingle with the high-ups. You see, that’s the difference between me and the rest—they are only thinking about how much fun they will have. For me, this is a silver bullet. I need to grow my roots and expand my influence. What better time than now?

Merry Xmas, peeps.
