Distinguished guests, our clients and partners, staff, friends of TeleSky, ladies and gentlemen,
Good Morning
Today is a very special moment in the history of TeleSky.
Ten years ago,
A time like this, with elections round the corner, we were setting up on the 5th floor of this building. We began with an ambition: to build a Kenyan company capable of delivering customer engagement and business-process services at a standard that could compete anywhere in the world.
A few of the clients we partnered with at the time are with us here today.
Today, as we celebrate a decade in business, we can confidently say that the vision has become a reality. Along the way, our work has been recognised through industry awards and, more importantly, through the continued trust of our clients.
Every milestone we celebrate today represents thousands of conversations handled professionally, customers assisted and promises kept.
Behind each one of those interactions is a TeleSky employee.
Some of you joined us when the organisation was much smaller. Some joined recently.
Some have grown through different roles and responsibilities. But every person who has contributed to this company has helped build the institution we celebrate today.
To the men and women who have worked at TeleSky over the past ten years: this anniversary belongs to you.
1 would also like to acknowledge our clients.
Our clients have trusted us with something extraordinarily important: their customers, their brands, their data and their reputation.
That trust is something we never take lightly.
To every organisation that has partnered with TeleSky during the last decade, thank you for believing in us and for challenging us to continually raise our standards. Our goal in the next decade is to support your ambitions to grow and scale globally.
To our suppliers, technology partners and business partners have also played a critical role in this journey, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support.
We are now living in the age of Al, where trust is infrastructure.
Our ISO certification therefore marks the beginning of our next business model. We intend to compete for work where information security is not optional and where organisations require a trusted partner to operate at the intersection of people, data and Al.
This direction also comes at an important moment for our country.
Kenya has adopted a national Al strategy (2025 – 2030) whose ambition is to build digital infrastructure and stronger data ecosystems.
The challenge now is execution. Government cannot build Kenya’s Al economy alone.
Technology companies cannot build it alone and international investors cannot build it for us. Kenyan businesses must also put capital at risk. We must buy equipment. We must train people. We must experiment. We must fail occasionally and we must create companies capable of selling African Al technology into global markets.
Over the next decade, TeleSky will invest in Al Workforce Infrastructure.
A programme that will include investment in Al computing infrastructure and hardware, Al development capability, workforce training and tools that enable humans and artificial intelligence to work together.
There will be more announcements about this in the months ahead. I will deliberately leave some of the story for another day.
To government: continue creating the environment in which Kenyan technology companies can invest, experiment and compete globally. The Government is the best business development partner…open doors and enable investors already operating in Kenya to scale. Lower taxes and support Kenyan owned Companies to build AI Infrastructure for Africa and the World.
In conclusion.
To everyone who has been part of the TeleSky journey – our employees, our clients, our families, our partners and our friends – thank you.
You helped build this company.
Happy 10th Anniversary and Congratulations to the entire team on achieving ISO/IEC
27001:2022 certification.
Thank you.
